Average Penis Size

The average penis size has always been a matter of discussion and great concern for men. How many inches is the right size? Is my penis about the average penis size? Can I satisfy my partner sexually? Thanks to all of these questions and the ignorance on the part of many, there are several myths and rumors doing the rounds of the internet. Most of these are related to the average penis size and related issues of how the size of the penis plays a key role in improving ones sexual and social life.

Well, for those who don’t know, let us first bust the myths surrounding the average penis size. The average penis size is not 8 inches. This is a myth. Firstly it is extremely difficult to get true and reliable data regarding the penis size globally. Often, people with smaller penises may not allow themselves to be measured. On the other hand, if people are surveyed, there is a strong chance that they will exaggerate about the size of their penis. The generally accepted average size of the flaccid penis is 2.5 to 4 Inches.

Often, people with a small flaccid penis, later on may have huge erections with size changing dramatically. The average penis size for an erect penis is between 4 to 8 inches. Of course, this is only an estimate. The size may vary depending on genetics and physical and medical conditions. Obese people often suffer from a condition called "concealed penis" in which the penis is of the normal size but looks very small as it is covered by a layer of fat on all sides. There are other conditions as well, including micro penis, webbed penis, trapped penis etc. In all of  these conditions, the penis size may be quite less than the average penis size.
